Bio
Fred Demers has thirty years of experience providing human resource leadership to for-profit and not-for-profit small, mid-sized and large organizations. Since 2007, he has operated Fred Demers Associates, and prior to that, held operations positions at General Electric, American General Insurance, and McCormick & Company. His experience is in several settings - manufacturing, research & development, information technology, insurance, national sales organizations, and division headquarters.
Through these varied experiences, he has worked with individuals at various career stages – career exploration and transition, new employee (including executive) integration, effective leadership and performance improvement.
Fred has been active since 2008 as a Career Management Consultant.
He holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a Master’s Degree in Organization Development from American University/NTL, and the Certificate in Leader Coaching from Georgetown University. He is a member of Mid-Atlantic Career Counseling Association, National Career Development Association, and Maryland Career Development Association.
