Vikki A. Torrence, MS, CWDP has provided career development, transition and work-life counseling services for over over 18 years to adults, teens, the military community, and federal employees. She is a project manager and professional coach with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Aviation Safety with the Flight Standards, Workforce Development Division where she supports career/technical training, on-the-job training (OJT) program. Her collateral roles with FAA include six years as a co-adminstrator for the FAA's National PWC Mentoring Program where she also provides professional/career coaching; a member of the instructional cadre for select leadership skills development training; and, she support the FAA's STEM Aviation & Space Education Program as an Outreach Representative who encourages interest to youth and teens in aviation and aerospace careers for the next generation through varied activities.
Ms. Torrence also has extensive experience supporting career transition and providing employment services for the military as a Department of Veterans Affairs vocational rehabilitation counselor. She also worked with the US Army at Fort Meade and the US Air Force at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling specializing in military-to-civilian transitioning and job search coaching, and as a career counselor/trainer to active duty service members, military spouses and youth. She is also a former member of the Anne Arundel County Workforce Investment Board for Youth.
Ms. Torrence is a Certified Workforce Development Professional (CWDP), a trained Change Management Practitioner (CMP) and has completed her training as a Professional Coach and seeking candidacy for the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Associate Certified Coach (ACC) Credential. Since 2011, she has been an active member with the Maryland Career Development Association (MCDA) and a certified member of National Association of Workforce Development Professionals (NAWDP) since 2013. Ms. Torrence has a passion to help people discovery their passion and maximize their potential.
